The members of our department are trained in Fire, Rescue & Medical response for its citizens of Farmington.
The Farmington Volunteer Fire Department is home to the only Ladder company in town, which responds on all major fire or rescue related emergencies. We have specialized equipment and training in vehicle extrication, vehicle stabilization and any water or ice rescue.
Our department is staffed by Certified Emergency Medical Technicians, who function as the first responding medical staff for the town. In addition to the fire department, Paramedic service is provided by the University of Connecticut Health Center Fire Dept in Farmington. The ambulance service contracted for the town of Farmington is American Medical Response. Their local office in Avon, CT provides fast & reliable response
